There's a group in Fruita who are collecting trail data for the area - if you have any or are interested in seeing what they have (they have about 50 trails so far) then you can check it out and talk to them at The Fruita Chamber Farm and Ranch Day:

A very brief horse and wagon trail list will be available at the farm and ranch booth. So far over 40 local horse and wagon trails have been identified for your families' summer fun. You can choose from a diverse group of local horse and wagon trails to include mountain, grasslands, canyons, river, endurance (Pony Express Ride), rodeo, dinosaur rides and vineyard rides. We live in a superb area for exciting family adventures.

So pass this on to family, friends and people who have horses so you can all have fun together before spring arrives. For when spring arrives, we will all get very busy with irrigation, preparing the pasture, and showing our horses and just won't have much spare time!

For more information on Farm and Ranch Day or the Farm and Ranch Committee contact the Chamber of Commerce 858-3894 or www.fruita chamber.org For more information on the horse trails call Nevelle or Tony at 858-3986
