Playing in the Pine River, Weminuche Wilderness in SW Colorado
Wiener dog riding a pack mule, how great is that?!
One of Todd's favorite fishing holes on the right, and a group of packers heading downriver in front.

Climbing up through thick spruce on the N Fork of the Conejos trail, South San Juan Wilderness
Due to abundant rain there were a lot of mud holes to cross on the Three Forks Trail
One of the few, and arguably the best, horse camping areas along the Conejos River.
Small trailhead with no camping and limited parking. 3-4 more stock trailers pulled in here later that day.

One of our cats was killed by an unknown assailant on our last trip, so this time the remaining cat came with us. He loved it!
The third week of August felt more like the end of September so we made a campfire at lunch,
After a few miles the terrain opens up to a huge meadow
